Product Specifications
| Product Type | Recombinant protein |
|---|---|
| Applications | Bioactivity, Endotoxin |
| Source | E. coli. |
| UniProt No. | P21246 |
| Purity | > 96 % by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. |
| Bioactivity | Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity was measured by its ability to enhance neurite outgrowth of E16-E18 rat embryonic cortical neurons, when neurons were plated on 96 well culture plates that had been pre-coated with 100 μl/well of a solution of 5-10 μg/ml rHuPTN. |
| Endotoxin | Less than 0.1 EU/μg of rHuPTN as determined by LAL method. |
| Molecular Weight | Approximately 15.3 kDa, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 136 amino acids. |
| Formulation | Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH 7.4. |
| Alternative Names | PTN, HARP, HB-GAM, HBBM, HBGF-8, HBGF8, HBNF, HBNF-1, NEGF1, OSF-1, Human |
| Storage | -20C |
| Reconstitution | We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1 % BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at ≤ -20 °C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions. |
